we are Afro Inspira!

Through a multimodal approach to Creative Arts Therapies, we encourage the community to explore and integrate concepts of equity and inclusion that bring awareness to the voices and stories of people of African descent and their Afro-Caribbean experience.

We are an intra-diasporic project focused on Afro-Identity, justice and community healing through music and the creative arts.

It all begins with a question. How did we get here? Across oceans, continents and time; our story is vast and filled with beauty. Reconnecting with Afro-Diasporic values and traditions. Incorporating the history and resistance of our ancestors into our contemporary journey. Distilling social justice movements and reinforcing communities. Afro-Infantes is focused on creating path ways for children and youth to build inter community bridges using Afro-Caribbean music and culture.

Afro Infantes is a project dedicated to nurture our Afro-identity through collective art making processes. We embrace, uphold and disseminate ancestral knowledge and body memory.
